Speedgate "Ride for Life" 2010 raises approx £30,000 for Cancer Research UK

Cancer Research UK - Dartford LC would like to thank Speedgate Equestrian,Fawkham for undertaking their magnificent 10 mile charity ride over the weekend Sat/Sun 5th/6th June, 2010 when they raised an incredible sum in the region of £30,000 for the charity.

Horses and Riders were dressed in pink and a very enjoyable time was had by all in the fine weather.

Prior to the starting of the main ride, Keith Goldsmith ran the 10 mile off road course starting out at 6am and completing in under 2.1/2 hours and then marshalled for the rest of the day!

Congratulations to Keith for this outstanding achievement and his dedication raised £1500 for the Speedgate total, but I think he has to go back to the Mental Home next week!!!

Our sincere thanks to Nic Barnes, Events Manager and her wonderful Speedgate team for organising a "better than ever" 4th Ride for Life and they have raised almost £90,000 in the past 4 years - an incredible feat in these very difficult times
