Come and see us at Dartford Relay for Life - Saturday 19th June for 24 hours

Everyone knows Cancer Research UK "Race for Life" events but their "Relay for Life" is still a mystery to a lot of people.

We invite you to come along, no charge for admission, anytime, during the 24 hour event and see for yourself what it is all about!

Hopefully you will like what you see and participate yourselves in some way next year.

Cancer Survivors are VIP Guests of Honour and after the opening ceremony they walk the first lap of the track with friends and teams from the local community who have come together to celebrate their achievements.

Survivors have their own special Reception with refreshments (kindly sponsored by Sainsbury's Crayford Store)and will be greeted by Shirley Anne Field the '60s Model/Actress, together with Pat Coleman the Dartford Mayor and Gareth Johnson the new Member of Parliament.

Teams then walk the track and always have one member from each team walking for 24 hours as cancer never sleeps.

As night falls, the participants gather to pay tribute to friends and loved ones by placing Candles of Hope around the track, dedicated to to those who have been lost to cancer and to celebrate those who have survived the dreadful disease.

We look forward to seeing you on the day
