October was birthday time for us, our 44th and a very pleasant social evening was enjoyed by all, nicely rounded off with a chocolate birthday cake.
Two members went to Sevenoaks for the Federation’s Kent Day and particularly appreciated the session on Hydroponics ie crop growing as at Thanet Earth.
Crops grown this way can be obtained from Hadlow College and local greengrocers in Hadlow, just to see if they are as tasty as traditionally grown vegetables.
Members have also visited the last of this year’s RHS Westminster plant shows with its Autumn Harvest theme.
