Experienced botanist and Orpington Photographic Society member, Irene Palmer - assisted by her husband, John - enthralled and entertained the Club for their regular Tuesday evening meeting with a photographic slide show entitled "A Day Out With Darwin".
Containing photographs of the home of Darwin, Down House, at Downe, and the surrounding area, the chairman of the club, David Barnes, remarked at the end that it was one of the most interesting evenings during his time at the Society.
The OPS meet regularly at 7.30pm every Tuesday at The Small Hall, Christ Church, Charterhouse Road, Orpington and welcome newcomers.
