Mr Dave Atkins gave a talk on “ Dovetail Two” a local club for disabled people aged 16 – 60 living in the Bromley area on Wednesday the 11th November.
They are a charity and rely on fundraising activities to support themselves.
They meet at Sanderson Hall in St Mary Cray, where they have regular meetings and organise outings and holidays. They have raised enough money to buy a chalet and install it near the Sussex coast where members can stay.
They have their own converted ambulance for transport.
Dave, who is permanently wheelchair bound being paralysed waist downwards after falling off a ladder, gave an excellent talk and came over as a very cheerful, positive person.
