Darrick Wood Senior School is well known for its amazing school productions. "West side story", "The Wizard of Oz" and " Bugsy Malone" are just a few of the outstanding productions that the school have previously staged. 2009 will be no exception from the high level of performances with this year's production, "A Christmas Carol".

Ebenezer Scrooge is a twisted and nasty man. He is well known for his rude ways and selfish acts. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley. He is warned that if he continues his bad ways, when he dies, he will be trapped on Earth, forever roaming the streets on his own. Three other ghosts also visit Scrooge, the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas future, but will Scrooge change his ways?

The characters of Scrooge, Marley and the other ghosts are all excellently played by the sixth formers of Darrick Wood and the supporting cast by the younger pupils. The songs and dances of " A Christmas Carol" will have the audience on their feet!
