We are all to aware that car theft is a problem for many of us in our day to day lives. Last week in a reported from gocompare.com Chislehurst was named as the car theft capital in Britain. 3.82% of people in Chislehurst made claims to insurers about either having their car stolen or parts of their car stolen within the last twelve months from August 2008 to August 2009. This is more than double the national average claim percentage in other towns which stands at just 1.17%.

One student from Bullers Wood School said that this does not suprise her as 'a car thief broke into her house, by using a brick to smash a windown to get in, found the car keys to their car and stole the car.
