We are all to aware that car thedt is a problem for many of us in our day to day lives. Last week in a reported from gocompare.com Chislehurst was named as the car theft capital in Britain. 3.82% of people in Chislehurst made claims to insurers about either having their car stolen or parts of their car stolen within the last twelve months from August 2008 to August 2009. This is more than double the national average claim percentage in other towns which stands at just 1.17%.

Over the past two weeks Chislehurst has been host to the first ever village festival, celebrating 75 years of the Chislehurst Society. A number of special events took place during this time ranging from belly dancing workshops to dog shows and all the way through to a Victorian play which took place in a local pub.
