Right now hundreds of thousands of lives are being ruined by the discriminative acts being carried out by the Israeli troops. Israel is attempting to slowly drive out the Palestinians by completely cutting off their water supplies. Israelis have destroyed Palestinian pipes and hoses used for water transfer and rainwater cisterns used for collecting water. They’re also confiscating water tanks and tractors with the excuse of people not owning a permit, even though the equipment may have been on their own private property.

Members enjoyed a fashion show presented by Pauline Turner, our own members modelled some very fashionable clothes to suit all ages and sizes the models were Marion Maggie Barbara Rita Jeanette , we were then let loose on the rails of clothes for some retail therapy Marathon runner Our own Lorna Clark did us proud by running in the London Marathon,she ran for Combat Stress a charity which looks after the mental health of ex service men and women who are strugglingto cope after returning to civilian life Lorna raised over £1.ooo to this worthy cause and found the experience of running the marathon incredable.

The drug Mepherdrone is a plant fertiliser but is also recognised and sold as a recreational drug under such names as meph, bubbles or meow (meow). This is a drug that has recently become more popular in the streets of the UK, following cocaine, marijuana and ecstasy, it also has just as horrifying and harmful effects on the body, long term and short.

It’s been investigated as to where some of the rubbish from the West is going. Recent research, reported by several sources, shows that broken electrical appliances and other such rubbish have been illegally dumped into countries in Africa such as Nigeria and Ghana.

Our speaker for the evening was SARAH THOMAS an actress who enchanted us with stories of her time as Glenda in LAST of the summer wine, we were enthralled by her encounters with the wonderful actress THORA HIRD who played her mother. A beautiful cake made by BARBARA CROFT was enjoyed at the tea break, and we were entertained by VERONICA STANLEY RITA EVANS and BARBARA CROFT with individual acts of humour . TOM DICK & HARRY, my flyer said there may be other DICK WHITTINGTON PANTOMIMES but you have never seen one quite like this before,and that was quite true I had never seen one like this before.The young performers gave their all,and the more mature actors ,the usual suspects gave a polished performance and what was truly impressive the panto got a mention by SIR TERRY WOGAN no less on his radio 2 breakfast show wake up to Wogan on dec 1st 8.15 a.m RE-SPECT I must confess that during the panto I did not know what universe I was on but I am a tog so what do I know.

Some will even start job hunting. However, will getting a paid job be harder for students of this generation than the last? The schools have tried preparing their students for the big wide world but will that be enough for them, especially considering the economic and financial problems that have recently crashed down on the UK?
