Just Voices, Bromley's award-winning a cappella chorus, held a Choral Candlelit Vigil on 4th August as part of the national "Lights-out" commemoration of the Centenary of the outbreak of WW1.

There was standing room only in the Bromley Common Baptist Church hall, as many local people joined Just Voices in a lively sing-song of tunes popular in the First World War.

This was followed by poems and music from the period and singing by Just Voices all by candlelight.

Finally all the candles were extinguished , leaving only one candle burning whilst those present observed a few moments of quiet reflection., remebering the Fallen.

Over £250 was collected for the Royal British Legion. Just Voices would like to thank everybody for attending and donating so generously. It was a very special evening which will live long in the memory.
