Rounding off Trust Thamesmead's Boredom Busters summer programme of activities was a four-day Netball course which took place at Sporting Club Thamesmead and a week-long Film project made in and around The Link Thamesmead and which is in the process of being edited for a possible grant.

Other activities which took place included Football, Golf, Tennis and Cricket courses, as well as recording sessions, Hip Hop, cookery and acting classes, bat hunts and more!

The Link Thamesmead's Centre Manager, Mark Blundell said: “It is fantastic to see so many young people getting involved in activities in Thamesmead and the film project highlights the good work many young people are putting into their community.”

The Link Thamesmead runs a weekly film project by Pixelform Studios out of its unique setting based under the roundabout in the sky in Thamesmead, as well as many other activities and opportunities by various partners including Archway Project, Theatre Street Performing Arts, Thamesmead Gym, Thamesmead Youth Voice, Pixelform Studios, many faith groups and others, as well as spaces for hire.

Whilst Sporting Club Thamesmead in Bayliss Avenue which is home to both Thamesmead Town Football Club and Charlton Athletic Women's Football Club offers an array of activities including Zumba and Boot Camp, as well as grass and 4G flood lit pitches, function rooms and a sports bar.
