The ladies of the Guild enjoyed their speaker Mr D Andrews on “my life as a children’s entertainer”.
He gave a talk and demonstrations of his art, a magical afternoon.
Social Studies Section - Welcomed Mrs S Boyd, she spoke about the King of England also King of Hanover 1714-1837 also about Dora Jordan an actress who was involved with royalty about this time, an absolutely fascinating talk.
Arts and Crafts Section enjoyed the afternoon making Christmas bows and angels.
Nature and Travel Section: their speaker was Mr A Parkin, whose “a village remembers” talk was accompanied with slides. The village he spoke about was Kemsing and he had also spoken to villagers who related their memories. Very interesting.
