Bexleyheath Afternoon Guild North Kent Federation

The ladies of the Guild welcomed their speaker Mrs B Stevens. “Journalism after Menopause”, an excellent and amusing speaker, relating her story about her short spell as a journalist for a local paper.
Social Studies Section - Some of the section had a trip to Southend enjoyed by all.
Arts & Crafts - Ladies met as usual and again a busy afternoon, quite informal.
Nature & Travel Section - Mrs Hefferman was the speaker, her talk was “hop picking in Kent & Sussex”, she related many stories she had collected from people she had met who had been hop picking.
