At the October guild and social studies section Mrs Heffernan was the speaker.

Her talks were accompanied with slides. Her talk for the guild was a “pommie immigrant in Australia” and was about a few years she spent in Australia.

Her talk for social studies was about a visit to China, both talks interesting.

Arts and crafts section had a pleasant afternoon making cakes for halloween and some ladies continuing with marquetry.

Nature and travel section enjoyed a talk by Mr P Scott who spoke about “Scotney Castle” and also showed slides, an excellent speaker.
