Cancer Research UK - RELAY FOR LIFE is coming to Dartford Central Park on Saturday 27th June,2009 starting at 3pm for 24 hours> Cancer survivors are VIP Guests of Honour and after the opening ceremony they walk the first lap of the track with celebrities and friends.They will be cheered and supported by family,friends and teams from the community who have come together to celibrate their achievements.> Survivors have their own special Reception with refreshments and will be greeted by '60s Model/Actress Shirley Anne Field who is attending on her birthday!> Teams then walk the track and always have one member from each team walking for 24 hours as cancer never sleeps!> CANDLE OF HOPE Ceremony - As night falls, participants gather to pay tributes to friends, family and loved ones by placing Candles of Hope around the track.
