Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice in Abbey Wood is welcoming in the New Year by celebrating 21 years of care and support across Greenwich and Bexley boroughs. In 2015 the Hospice will be expanding their main building with a new extension to provide better access to the Hospice as well as creating a rehabilitation gym, community hub and care coordination centre.

The Hospice has also announced another packed programme of fundraising and awareness events, including hospice open days, mini marathon for kids, a colour run, an open garden festival and a call for all kinds of volunteers.

Volunteers sought include shop volunteers to greet and serve customers and keep the shops neat and tidy, mini bus drivers to provide driving support to patients who cannot get to the hospice under their own steam and telephone bereavement service volunteers to provide telephone support from the Hospice to bereaved relatives and friends.
