Harvest festival gifts donated to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice

Fruit, vegetables, cereals, pasta, soup, tea, biscuits and even pumpkins and Christmas puddings were just some of the delicious harvest produce donated by local Schools and Churches to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
“We have been absolutely inundated with harvest festival donations this year, it’s brilliant,” said Hospice chief executive Kate Heaps.
“We’ll be using the bulk of the donations for patients here at the Hospice through our kitchen but we’re also providing hampers for those who benefit from our services in the community.”
Staff at the Abbey Wood-based Hospice plan to distribute the hampers over the coming weeks.
“We’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone who so generously contributed,” said social worker Caroline Kidd who delivered one of the hampers last week.
