Ladies lead the way in the latest community efforts for the Freddie Farmer Foundation

MORE THAN 40 ladies enjoyed a marathon Pamper Evening at Deanne Farmer’s home in New Eltham, London on Friday, November 25 to raise funds for the Freddie Farmer Foundation.

Deanne’s friend and stalwart foundation supporter Debbie Leggat, of internet shop Beautiful Mayblossom Gifts ran a pop-up shop, and Sainsbury’s in Eltham, who have adopted the foundation as its charity for a year, donated all the cheese and biscuits.

Freddie Farmer Foundation Christmas cards were sold, along with wristbands, and there was a raffle but the star attraction was Sandy Bishop, whose Tarot readings went on until midnight.

Exactly £811 was raised on the night from an entry fee, donations, Tarot card readings, a raffle and merchandise sales.

The fundraising was for the Freddie Farmer Foundation, set up in February, to raise £250,000 to set up a specialist physiotherapy centre in SE London for children and young people with cerebral palsy and serious mobility problems. Deanne’s son, Freddie, who was born at 28 weeks with cerebral palsy, weighing just 2lbs 12oz, has been the inspiration behind it.
