The Bromley Creative Community (BCC) held a welcome party for its new members at The Churchill, Bromley (June 25). The event was the first chance for members to meet each other and to find out more about the BCC, which was launched earlier this year with the support of Bromley Council.

The party was attended by over 30 creative businesses and representatives from the London Borough of Bromley including Cllr Benington, Portfolio Holder for Renewal and Recreation.

Event highlights included a stand-up set by top local comic Pam Ford and a keynote address from Cllr Benington.

Chair John Hickinbottom explained what the BCC is and what it stands for and attendees formed brainstorming groups to determine what they want from the BCC.

Founder member Jackie Barrie from Comms-Plus, Beckenham said: “With so much local positivity, energy and talent in the room, I'm sure that BCC will attract more business for local creatives.

We aim to expose creative businesses to new clients through our website and at events, with the aim of enticing more business into Bromley.”

BCC launched in March and has already attracted 55 members.
