ON JUNE 6, the society held its popular summer dance at Petts Wood Memorial Hall, with music provided by Robin Ellis and his band.
It was attended by more than 80 enthusiastic dancers from the Thursday Social Dance Group, Monday's Beginners' Class and friends from Kentish groups.
The new president, Elisabeth Leishman, thanked all those who contributed to the evening's success, in particular the convenor Deidre Wilden, and MCs Joan Kinnear and Magggie Talbot.
The new dance season will start on Thursday, September 3 at Petts Wood Memorial Hall (social dancing) and Monday, September 7 (Beginners) at St Paul's Church Hall, Crofton Road, Orpington.
