AN EVENT on March 14 organised by Biggin Hill and Westerham Lions Club raised around £1,000 for Demelza House Children’s Hospice.

Biggin Hill and Westerham Lions were joined by Demelza’s own fundraising team and Caterham Oxted & Godstone Lions at the event at St Theresa’s Church Hall, Haig Road, Biggin Hill.

Ebbutt Funeral Services Limpsfield supplied a fairground organ which attracted passing shoppers.

Belly dancers from phoenix-saharbellydancer.co.uk shimmied down the main road to the event, attracting lots of interest and some generous donations and brightening the day of the stallholders.
