My sons name is Konah Gange, he plays the trumpet and is a year 5 pupil at Plumcroft primary school, at the end of last year he was nominated by his school teacher, Ms Wilson, for a music scholarship programme, Konah was then selected by the Greenwich Music Hub for the 4 year scholarship programme by the Mayors Music Fund.

On the 29th September 2015 Konah attended an award ceremony with other scholars at London's City Hall to receive their certificates for the Mayors Music Fund, not only did he get to receive a certificate for his hard work but he also performed in front of and met Boris Johnson, the mayor of London (picture attached), and special guest speaker, saxophonist, Yolanda Brown (picture attached), who also gave an inspirational speech to the scholars.

Konah will join the other 8 existing scholars from Royal Greenwich. He is the only scholar awarded this year from Royal Greenwich borough, and we are all very proud of him and this fantastic opportunity.
