Since 1930, the Downham community has been well served by the Churchdown Christian Centre located at 60 Churchdown, BR1 5PQ. After a period of inactivity, Downham Baptist Church in partnership with London City Mission has reopened the centre for the community.

As a church, the primary goals of Downham Baptist are to share the good news of Jesus Christ, to teach the Bible, and to help people on their spiritual journey. They aim to provide other services for the adults, young people, and children of the community in the future as they are able.

This coming weekend, the church is having two special services to thank God for and dedicate their building to the work of God again. They would like to invite everyone to join them along with other people and workers from the community. The services will take place on: Saturday, 14 March 4.00pm Sunday, 15 March 11.30am Both services will last about an hour and will include talks from several individuals including local community and Christian workers, former London City Mission missionary Jamie Stewart, and the church's pastor Travis Snode. Following each service, there will be a time talk with one another and enjoy some refreshments.

Everyone is welcome to join them for one or both of the services. If you have any questions or need directions to the church, you can go to www.downhampbaptist.org or phone 020 8432 6613.
