Festive fundraisers will be kicking off the festive season dressed up as Santa next month for the third annual Hospice Santa Dash.

The Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice Santa Dash will be held in Bexleyheath on Sunday December 7, starting at 10am at Danson Park and starting and finishing next to Mansion House, a distance of 5km.

Megan Boyle, Community Fundraiser at the Hospice, said: “The event is a great kick-start to Christmas, and it’s for everyone to enjoy, including our canine friends!

“The event is a lot of fun and the sight of hundreds of Santas dashing through the park is really quite something!

“It’s a great way to see in the festive season and it helps your local Hospice at the same time.”

The event is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, who are encouraged to walk, run or jog the 5km route. The route will be signposted and marshalled, and there is a slightly shorter route available for those that need it.

Registration includes a Santa suit, medal and a hot drink at the finish line.

Pre-event registration costs £10 for adults, £5 for children (5-15 years) or £25 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children). On the day registration costs £20 for adults, £10 for children (5-15 years).

Every penny of profit raised goes straight back to funding the work of Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice and will help the Hospice to support more local people who need its free specialist end of life care and support services in Greenwich and Bexley.
