Several young emerging artists have united together in a bid to exhibit their work for charitable purposes.

The artists known collectively as “Rebellion Artists,” have teamed up with The Prince's Foundation for Arts and the Children to bring their exhibition, titled Invasion to the Take Courage Gallery in New Cross.

The goal of Invasion is to provide an independent platform for the artists whilst also raising funds for Children and the Arts.

Following the lack of exposure and support available to young emerging artists, Maciej Jedrzejewski, the event’s organizer decided to host his own exhibition with a theme of invasion.

The exhibition will feature artists: Adam Patterson, Farrah Riley-Grey, Katie Pickerell, Maciej Jedrzejewski and Saltana Jahan.

Although the event is hoping to promote the artists’ works, one of the key principles behind the exhibition will be working with The Princes Foundation for Children and the Arts.

The charity works with disadvantaged children nationwide that do not have access to high-quality arts activity because of either social or economic barriers. The exhibition is hoping to raise funds through voluntary donations at the entrance and also via the auction of artists’ works.

The launch of the exhibition is on the 29th of October at 6:30pm at the Take Courage Gallery in New Cross. The exhibition will continue to stay open for a further two days on the 30th and 31st of October from 12 noon to 9pm. Take Courage Gallery is located directly opposite New Cross rail station and the gallery itself is located above the Amersham Arms pub. Food and drinks are available throughout the duration of the event.
