ORPINGTON Tackle & Bait are holding a Charity Fishing Competition at Hawkhurst Fish Farm in Hawkhurst, Kent on Sunday, 31st August to raise money for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
Fishermen will compete for trophies based on the total weight of fish caught over six hours to raise money for the Abbey Wood-based Hospice.
The event is being organised by Orpington Tackle & Bait owner Peter Bolt, in memory of his dad, Leonard George Bolt, who was cared for by the Hospice in 2011.
Peter has been running this competition in honour of his dad, who was a keen fisherman, since 2012.
The competition has sold-out but anyone wishing to be put on the reserve list should contact Peter Bolt on 01689 852 884.
The shop is also running a raffle of fishing-related prizes with all proceeds being donated to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice. Raffle tickets are on sale from Orpington Tackle & Bait on 19 Crescent Way, Orpington priced at one pound a ticket.
