Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice has launched a new video to highlight how the Hospice helps people in Greenwich and Bexley and the wide range of care and support services the Hospice provides.

The moving film called ‘Quality Care Where It Counts’ includes short testimonials of people talking about their experience of the Hospice and explains some of the services that the Hospice provides.

Hospice patients speak about the tailored individual service they receive and how the Hospice provides free care and support to over 2,500 local people and their families every year.

The time, skills, knowledge and humanity shown by everyone involved with the Hospice is reflected in the film; through Hospice inpatient and day hospice care and through care and support in the wider community in people’s homes, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and in local care homes.

Kate Heaps, Hospice Chief Executive, who is featured in the film, said: “I am really pleased with the new Hospice film, we wanted to convey the impact of the Hospice on people who need our care and support as well as explaining the importance of the support we get from our local community. I think this short film portrays these messages really well; hopefully it will make the option of Hospice care less scary for local people with life limiting illness, as well as encouraging more people to get involved.”
