Local cancer charity, the Breast of Bromley, and business networking group BNI SE London are asking people to take part in the ultimate challenge and walk over hot coals this month to help find a cure for breast cancer.

The event, which takes place from 3-9pm on Saturday 26th April at Crofton Halls in Orpington, is aimed at raising funds to help research into breast cancer and is open to anyone over the age of 13.

Participants will be trained by master motivator, firewalker and personal development coach, Tosin Ogunnusi. Tosin travels the world inspiring organisations and individuals to ‘ignite their passion’, overcome obstacles and challenge themselves to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’.

All entrants are required to pay a £50 registration fee and are asked to raise at least £100 in sponsorship, all of which will be passed directly to the Breast of Bromley, who aim to raise £14,000 from the event for Breast Cancer Campaign to fund vital research.

Cllr Ian F Payne, Chairman of Breast of Bromley, says: “This is a once in a lifetime experience to learn a new technique, master your fears and complete the ultimate challenge, while raising thousands of pounds for the fight against breast cancer.

“Every year 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, 12,000 die, and millions live with its long-term impact, so every penny we raise is much-needed to help find a cure for this terrible disease.”

Individuals or businesses can take part and all participants will receive a certificate at the end.
