A van belonging to Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice has been stolen from the hospice's retail distribution centre at 12-15 Bellegrove Parade in Welling.

The white Ford Transit Luton boxed van, registration number VN61 ZPR, was taken on 1st March.

The Hospice van was last seen by Hospice staff on Saturday 8th March being driven down Bellegrove Parade in Welling. A customer also reported that she had seen the van three times on the Garland Estate (off Garland Road) in Plumstead. Police have been alerted and have put a marker on their systems.

The van is white and has Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice printed across the side and across the front.

Betty Sorrell, Head of Retail, said the retail department are feeling the loss of the stolen van tremendously. The theft could set the charity back £20,000 to replace the van with a second hand Luton van of the same size.
