Bromley charity the Freddie Farmer Foundation is celebrating after receiving funds from a community fund.

The Freddie Farmer Foundation was awarded £3,000 cash from the 2013 Lloyds Bank Community Fund, which aimed to help groups have a positive impact on their communities.

In each community of four local good causes, the two with the most votes were awarded £3,000 and the other two were awarded £300.

9818 votes were cast in Bromley with the Freddie Farmer Foundation receiving 27% of the Bromley public vote.

Graham Lindsay, group director of responsible business at Lloyds Banking Group, said: "We know that receiving a promotional boost and public support is as important as the financial investment and can have a sustained impact on groups’ engagement with their local community over time.

"Congratulations to every community group that took part, we look forward to hearing about the difference being involved in the programme has made."
