The Royal Bank of Scotland has announced it will close 162 branches, leading to the loss of nearly 800 jobs - but will it affect you?
The announcements came yesterday that RBS was getting rid of branches because it was not selling its William & Glyn business.
RBS said: “As a result of this process, around 792 roles will be made redundant, and we will seek to support our colleagues with the option to leave on a voluntary basis."
But will this affect you? Which branches on or nearest the Shopper patch will close and when?
Bromley - 13/08/2018
Dartford - 29/08/2018
Streatham - 26/07/2018
A total of 109 branches will close in late July and a further 53 will close in November of this year.
RBS has said that because the group has branches in close proximity, it is seeking to reduce overlap.
Customers of Royal Bank of Scotland in England and Wales will be able to use NatWest branches instead for their everyday banking needs.
