Celebrity chef and author Glynn Christian will be opening the brand new premises of award-winning cake bakery Fresh Eric’s in Orpington on Friday 15th July, and owners of local independent coffee shops and food service outlets are invited to attend.
The Orpington based artisan cake bakery, run by husband and wife team Eric and Jeanette Watkins since 2003, had outgrown its previous site and is moving to bigger premises to better serve the needs of its customers.
Mr Christian is a strong supporter of Specialty Food Producers and Retailers and has been honoured by the UK Guild of Fine Food with their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his support of them. As part of his on-going interest, he will be officially opening Fresh Eric’s new premises on Friday 15th July:
Event date: Friday 15th July 2016, 12-4pm
Ribbon cutting: 1pm
Venue: Fresh Eric’s Cake Co Ltd, 6 Oasthouse Way, Orpington, BR5 3PT
The event will be an opportunity for coffee shop and food service outlet owners to see the new bakery and experience first-hand the quality of Fresh Eric’s work. There will also be opportunity to taste their classic recipes and new wheat free traybakes.
Owner Eric Watkins says, “We are delighted to be moving to our superb new premises, so we can provide additional opportunities to both existing and new customers. Our new cake bakery enables us to offer even more flexibility for new products and formats. We look forward to welcoming them to our new premises to sample our products on 15th July.”
Those wishing to attend the event – who must either own or run independent coffee shops or food service outlets – should email info@freshericscakes.co.uk by Friday 8th July to reserve their place at the event.
Anyone in the independent coffee shop and food service outlet sector unable to attend the event is welcome to email to request a tour of the facilities at some other time.
