Local, family-run office supplies firm Tangent Office Resources officially opened their newly refurbished premises today, 13 May, with the help of Orpington MP Jo Johnson and both the incoming and outgoing Mayors of Bromley.

The premises of the firm originally known as just as Cut Price Cartridges, on Chislehurst Road in Orpington, were refurbished following fire devastation that ripped through the building in November 2014, causing substantial damage to the shop and office as well as the upstairs flat. The shop is now trading under both names of Cut Price Cartridges and Tangent Office Resources to appeal to both the residential and commercial customers.

Having operated from adjacent vacant premises while the major refurbishment works were undertaken, Tangent Office Resources were finally able to move back into their own building in March this year.

At today’s official re-opening, Jo Johnson MP was joined by both the new Mayor of Bromley Cllr Ian Payne, and the outgoing Mayor Cllr Kim Botting. They were helped to cut the ribbon by owner Chandra Sharma’s 13-year-old daughter, Jaya, who had performed the same task aged just three and a half, when the shop originally opened ten years ago.

As well as a vast array of stationery and ink cartridges, the award-winning, family-run firm now also offers branded work-wear and printing facilities, as well as a host of services dedicated to helping businesses with all their office supply needs.

Jo Johnson MP said: “Tangent Office Resources is a fantastic local business that has now been located in Orpington for over ten years.

I know that the aftermath of the fire, which caused the shop’s temporary closure, was a difficult period for everyone involved, and it was great to be invited by Mr Sharma to take part in the relaunch.”

Tangent Office Resources owner, Chandra Sharma said: “We are proud to be part of the community of Orpington and are deeply honoured to be supported by Jo Johnson MP and both the outgoing Mayor Cllr Kim Botting and newly elected Mayor Cllr Ian Payne. We hope to continue to serve the residential and business community of Orpington and the Borough of Bromley for many years to come.”
