New jobs are set to be created when restaurant Bella Italia opens its doors in Orpington.

The Italian chain will welcome the public on February 15 in the Walnuts Shopping centre, in the High Street.

The opening coincides with the hotly anticipated launch of the seven screen Odeon cinema development, along the High Street, also due to open this Easter.

The restaurant will create 30 new jobs for the town, and will be open seven days a week.

The £750,000 investment will see the eatery able to cater for 130 people, with an extra space for 40 outside.

The Orpington restaurant’s general manager, Pedro Miguel said: “We’re delighted to be opening a new restaurant here in Orpington, especially in such an exciting new development.

“We’re looking to bring a little Italian sunshine to a lovely place.”
