It's rare for the teams from local hairdressing salon Aitch & Aitch of Beckenham and West Wickham to be able to get together for a weekend.

However, October 3-4 was a special occasion when the entire team enjoyed days of inspirational education at the UNITE Global Session event in London, an international education event that sees over 20 artistic directors present their work.

One member of the Aitch & Aitch group, Rebecca Clements, took the global stage at Shoreditch Town Hall, alongside International Artistic Director for Color Therapy by Keratin Complex, Deborah Gavin from the United States.

Rebecca, who is technical director for the salon, has also been appointed Lead Colour Technical Educator for the Keratin Complex ‘Color Therapy’ brand. She assisted presenting a collection of models coloured with the latest hair colouring to hit the professional market, Keratin Complex Color Therapy. Infused with keratin the colour is by far the healthiest hair colour out there.

Rebecca presented on stage alongside her peer in her first major piece of platform work.

She said: "It’s amazing to work with Deborah on stage, and I really enjoyed sharing my knowledge with the audience, too."

Salon team members including Creative Team member, Suzie Barker, also joined the ranks of the show, lending her well-known organisation skills to the PR team assisting with journalists from around the world while salon apprentice Elias Clarke, stylist Nicole Power and 3rd year apprentice Tilly Bennett, assisted backstage.

Owner of Aitch & Aitch James Hallahan commented on the weekend: "Education is crucial to delivering an excellent service, from watching and learning, or being part of the event. All the experiences from both learning from education or participating in the success of the global show develop our team, nurturing their skills, bringing those skills back to the salon."
