Workers in Dartford are able to concentrate for longer periods than professionals in any other region of the UK according to a new survey.
3,000 workers across the UK were asked by Regus, the world’s largest flexible workspace provider, how long they can productively focus in a distraction-free environment without a break.
In Dartford, almost half (47 per cent) said they could concentrate on a task for more than three hours, giving the town the highest proportion of respondents choosing this option.
This percentage is significantly higher than the next best performing regions; Portsmouth with 31 per cent and Watford with 30 per cent.
Chris Pullen, managing director of field operations at Regus, said: "It's interesting to highlight regional differences when it comes to concentration levels and to consider the possible causes of regional disparity.
"Working environments, for example, play a huge role in the ability to focus, and these findings feed into a broader conversation about the importance of a quiet, professional setting for optimum productivity."
