Ebbsfleet Garden City bosses have named Medway Council's director of regeneration as the new chief executive of the urban development project.
Robin Cooper, director of regeneration, community and culture at Medway Council, is set to step in as chief executive of the £200million housing development in the coming months.
Plans for the development include 15,000 new homes.
Speaking on behalf of proposed neighbouring development, London Paramount. David Testa said: "We welcome Robin Cooper’s appointment to the Ebbsfleet Garden City Urban Development Corporation and are confident that the organisation will benefit from his considerable experience.
"The UDC is a key vehicle for delivering growth and regeneration in North Kent and this announcement is an important step forward in achieving its goals."
London Paramount is a £2 billion entertainment resorting encompassing a theme park, water park and 5,000 hotel rooms,
