Old and young alike took to the streets of Bromley celebrating a £5.5 million revamp.

The Bromley North Village officially unveiled its new look at an event on Saturday (March 21) attended by mayor Coun Julian Benington.

The scheme, which included new trees and street furniture, was funded by the Council, Transport for London (TfL) and The Mayor’s Outer London Fund (OLF).

MORE TOP STORIES Residents enjoyed a petting zoo of small animals including chickens and rabbits, as well as Morris dancers, an Easter egg trail around shops, sand sculptures, balloon modelling and more.

Coun Peter Morgan, executive councillor for renewal and recreation, said: “These extensive improvements to the area to the High Street underline our commitment to Building a Better Bromley and playing our part in ensuring business and investment continues in our town centres.

“We have a long term vision and we are delighted to see more people visiting the area already, with new businesses joining our fantastic community.”
