A group of bank workers have helped transform the walls of a Dartford church with a lick of paint.

Employees from Lloyds in Orpington High Street got their hands dirty to revamp Temple Hill Baptist Church in St Edmeads Road, Dartford.

They were helping out one of the Dartford mayor Councillor Avtar Sandhu's official charities, All Directions, which is based in the church.

All Directions is a community group which helps disabled and vulnerable people and those looking to get back into work.

The group also run courses of interest to meet the needs of the individual, a daily lunch club and coffee mornings.

Gary Johnson who is a mortgage and protection adviser at Lloyds, said: "The day went very well and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, although it was hard work and a long day.

"We felt really proud into giving something back into the local community.

"Judging by the good feedback we had, we have certainly made a difference for the All Directions Group, which is what its all about at the end of the day."

The mayor helps raise donations and support 31 local charities altogether.
