Naomi Bennett-Hall, co-founder of Ultimate Planet and resident of Bellingham in Lewisham, has been shortlisted as one of five people in the National Diversity Award's entrepreneur of excellence.
Naomi runs Planet London along with her wife Katie which lets lesbian, bisexual and queer women in London know what is on and where.
They work with small businesses and event organisers to ensure that the scene and community is diverse and relevant.
Naomi said: "I'm really honoured to have been shortlisted for this important award, but I don't think I could have done it without the support of the people around me. The community itself, and of course my wife!
"We have seen the number, diversity and quality of events available for LBQ women in London increase over the past three years but we're not stopping there! We have big plans over the next 12 months to make even more of an impact and this shortlisted nomination is excellent recognition for the hard work that goes into our business."
The winners are announced at a special awards ceremony on September 26 at the Hurlingham Club in London.
