A CHARITY is looking for people willing to compete in London's "other marathon" on its behalf.
Thames21 wants to hear from crews who would like to take part in this year's Great River Race and raise cash for the London waterways charity.
The event is considered to be Europe's most prestigious traditional boat race.
It will be held on September 13, starting at Richmond at 2pm and finishing 22 miles later in Greenwich.
Billed as much more colourful than the Oxbridge boat race, the event attracts around 300 crews from around the world, in a variety of boats and fancy dress and includes charity stunts as well as serious rowers.
Clubs and companies and organisations all enter crews in the race.
For more about the race, go to greatriverrace.co.uk and to find out how to enter in support of Thames21, call 020 7213 0166.
