A LABOURER charged with the murder of a former Bromley student has appeared in court.
Steven Braithwaite, aged 30, of no fixed address, appeared at Sutton Magistrates' Court and is next due to appear at the Old Bailey for a plea and case management hearing on November 27.
Nilanthan Murddi was stabbed in Sumner Road, Croydon, on August 16.
The former sixth form pupil at Langley Park School for Girls, Hawksbrook Lane, Beckenham, was taken to Croydon's Mayday Hospital after the incident at around 1.35am.
But the 17-year-old from New Addington was pronounced dead at 4.30am.
