Ambulance trust re-appoints non-executive director
Christine Barwell has been re-appointed for another four years
AN AMBULANCE trust has re-appointed a non-executive director.
South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust, which covers Kent, Medway, East and West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and Surrey, re-appointed Christine Barwell for a further four years.
The mother of one became one of the founder non-executive directors of the trust when it was formed in 2006.
A non-executive sits on boards and committees and ensures work is done in the public interest and patients and the public are properly informed.
Mrs Barwell, who lives in East Grinstead, said: "It is an exciting time with the emphasis now on mobile health care coming to the patient rather than just transporting them to hospital.
"With such clinical innovations taking place in the trust, I feel privileged to be part of something that will result in improved outcomes for patients."
