Forum showcases what's on offer for young people

1:57pm Thursday 8th May 2008

A FORUM that represents children, young people and their families across Bromley has held a showcase event.

The Children and Families Voluntary Sector Forum held an exhibition of what is on offer for young people and their families at the Civic Centre in Bromley.

Twenty-six of the forum's member groups from across the borough were at the event, including Bromley Scouts, Mencap and the Dyslexia Association.

Up to 50 people came along on the night on May 7.

The forum, which is funded by Bromley Council, currently has 90 members but is eager to recruit more.

Member secretary Judy Kimmins said: "The evening was to promote to children and parents what's going on for them and also to drum up new members."

For more information on the forum call Judy Kimmins on 07917 221475 or email cfforum@btconnect.com.
