iPhone and Blackberry thefts at Lewisham, Deptford and Birkbeck rail stations

A SPATE of iPhone and Blackberry thefts at Lewisham, Deptford and Birkbeck rail stations have prompted police to issue CCTV images and an appeal.

On August  17 at 6am, a 37-year-old woman had her Blackberry phone stolen on the Deptford station concourse following a struggle which lasted almost a minute.

And a further phone theft took place at Lewisham rail station on September 18 at 10.55pm.

A man briefly boarded the Gillingham to London Bridge service as it arrived, snatched a passenger’s Blackberry Curve phone after a brief scuffle, and then fled the station with it.

On September 20 at 11.30am a woman had her white iPhone4 worth £400 stolen when a man boarded the Beckenham to London Bridge service at Birkbeck rail station.

Detective Constable Mark Agrippa from British Transport Police said: "If you know any of the people pictured, or were present at any of the incidents described, then we want you to get in touch."

Call 0800 40 50 40 if you have any information, quoting B4/LSA of 19/10/12 and the image number.

3b has got an expensive top on and i think he`s got a "man bag" slung over the shoulder so he`s prob employed and should be recognised ,2 looks like he is not poor but has that guilty look on him should be id`d with a bit of luck 1 ,not a great picture but hardly looks like he had to steal to fund the next meal ,they are all a bunch of filth stealing off the travelling public and doing as they please ,let`s hope they are rounded up and put behind bars for 5 years ,come on dave cameron ,you said you wanted to make our country safe again yesterday ,let`s see you bang these filth up ,lol

Cant something be done to bar comments on these type of crimes?

The same usual comments ( and trust me i scrutinize these comments very carefully and can detect masking of racism thoughts and words ) keep appearing and its starting to keep me awake at night

Im bothered about the "kick it out" campaign in footie as well and how its beginning to fracture with breakaway groups forming,something we just dont need it rio

i think these news stories should be banned
