iPhone and Blackberry thefts at Lewisham, Deptford and Birkbeck rail stations
A SPATE of iPhone and Blackberry thefts at Lewisham, Deptford and Birkbeck rail stations have prompted police to issue CCTV images and an appeal.
On August 17 at 6am, a 37-year-old woman had her Blackberry phone stolen on the Deptford station concourse following a struggle which lasted almost a minute.
And a further phone theft took place at Lewisham rail station on September 18 at 10.55pm.
A man briefly boarded the Gillingham to London Bridge service as it arrived, snatched a passenger’s Blackberry Curve phone after a brief scuffle, and then fled the station with it.
On September 20 at 11.30am a woman had her white iPhone4 worth £400 stolen when a man boarded the Beckenham to London Bridge service at Birkbeck rail station.
Detective Constable Mark Agrippa from British Transport Police said: "If you know any of the people pictured, or were present at any of the incidents described, then we want you to get in touch."
