Bromley Council investigating customer complaints over Lewisham business

BROMLEY Council is currently investigating a blinds and shutters business owner after he was accused of malpractice by customers.

The council’s trading standards team is looking into Lewisham business Keywest Shutters and Blinds Ltd after one direct complaint was made against owner Simon Paddock, 47.

Both the council and a Companies House business dissolution team are aware of the complaints surrounding the Lee based business.

A Companies House spokeswoman said: "Currently according to our records Keywest Shutters and Blinds Limited has a notice to be shut down and is in the process of dissolution."

The period gives time for people to claim any outstanding debts owed by the company - if no one objects then the business will be dissolved.

Other agencies including the Citizen’s Advice Bureau are also aware of complaints made against the company.

According to Companies House records Keywest Shutters Limited - another of Mr Paddock’s companies - was dissolved in February.

Is anyone still waiting for blinds and shutters to be fitted by Keywest Shutters and Blind Ltd having paid up front? If you are give News Shopper a call on 01689 885711

We used Key West Shutters and we were disgusted with the service, we had half of the delivery delivered and fitted and we were then left without the other half for 6 weeks, even though all money had been taken for the order. Mr Paddock's wife was very rude to my husband and I and to be quite honest it is nice to read that a business like this has been shut down. Horrible company, owned by horrible people.
