MISSING teacher Jeremy Forrest’s dad is set to appeal for his son to return home with runaway schoolgirl Megan Stammers in a press conference this afternoon.
Jim Forrest, from Petts Wood, will be joined by Sussex Police Chief Inspector Jason Tingley at the briefing at 3.15pm to give an update into the search for the pair who fled to France last week.
Chief Insp Tingley will be speaking about the inquiry into the runaway 15-year-old who disappeared with Mr Forrest, 30, her maths teacher at Bishop Bell C of E School in Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Today Sussex Police again confirmed that they are not investigating Bishop Justus School in Bromley, where Mr Forrest worked until 2009.
A police spokeswoman said: “At the moment we are focused on getting Megan Stammers back and the school is not under investigation.”
At the press conference Sussex Police will try and clarify the nature of the European search which has been under scrutiny since it emerged that French police could not arrest the teacher under their law.
