Dancers stage living performance of Punch and Judy show at Ripley Arts Centre
10:47am Sunday 23rd September 2012 in Bromley By Robert Fisk
Studio 74 dancers performed Punch and Judy at the Ripley Arts Centre
PUPPETS came to life and escaped from the Punch and Judy theatre during a modern day version of the popular seaside show.
Or this is what the audience might have thought when watching a production at the Ripley Arts Centre, Sundridge Avenue, Bromley.
This is because all the roles in the performance were played by 11 youngsters from Bromley based dance school Studio 74.
They choreographed the piece after being asked to take part in a day of celebration for the 350th birthday of Mr Punch.
Spectators said the show was a joy to watch.
And Studio 74 teacher and choreographer Natalie Foster said: “Studio 74 share a great love of performing arts and are very proud of the skills and expertise developed with our students.”
