Bromley's blood pressure to be checked in health awareness week
A BROMLEY health organisation will be provide health checks as part of Blood Pressure week starting on September 10.
Health professionals will provide free health checks including blood pressure, BMI and lifestyle advice to adults.
The event, which has been going on since 2001, is this year aimed at those who have limited access to health services.
Health development advisor, Tanya Mead, said: "Bromley's population has a higher blood pressure compared to the national average so it is hoped that through running this campaign we can help make a difference."
Bromley HealthCare stations will remain open a week after the raising awareness week has concluded.
A London bus will drive around the borough to Nugent Centre (11-12pm), Bromley High Street (12.30pm-1.30pm) and Penge High Street (2-3pm) on September 11 offering free checks and advice.
And on September 12 the bus will travel to Mottingham Community Learning Shop (2pm-4pm).
