A PEDESTRIAN is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car in West Wickham last night (August 19).

Police were called to the High Street at about 9.45pm yesterday after reports of a collision between a car and a 68-year-old woman near The Swan pub.

The woman was taken by ambulance to a south London hospital where she is in a critical condition.

The car stopped at the scene.

There have been no arrests.
